Coastal Seeds

Native Flowering Seed Giveaway is a community project that grew from of the City of Victoria’s Local Champion program. Our aim is to restore native plants and flowers, boost biodiversity to help native pollinators thrive.

A vibrant mixed bed of native flowering plants from coastal British Columbia, including bright red columbine, purple camas, yellow seaside goldenrod, and white yarrow, filling the foreground with rich textures and colors. The plants grow in natural drifts along a gently curving mulch path, with a low wooden fence and a distant glimpse of Victoria’s coastline in the background. Late afternoon sunlight casts a warm, golden glow, creating soft highlights on petals and leaves and gentle shadows between stems. Photographed at eye level with moderate depth of field, the flowers are in crisp focus while the background softly blurs, conveying a professional, educational mood in clean, photographic realism for a native plant guide homepage hero image.
